Terms of Service
Effective date: June 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Spellforge ("Spellforge", "we", "us", or "our"), a web application for building and tuning Magic: The Gathering Commander decks. By creating an account or using Spellforge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Spellforge.
1. Who we are
Spellforge is operated by an individual. You can reach us at Support@spellforgemtg.com.
2. What Spellforge does
Spellforge helps you build, tune, and review Magic: The Gathering Commander decks, including suggestions generated by artificial intelligence. Spellforge is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast (see Section 8).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country (for example, 16 in parts of the European Union), to use Spellforge.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
- Provide a valid email address and accurate information.
- One account per person. Do not share your account.
- Tell us promptly at Support@spellforgemtg.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interfere with, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems;
- attempt to bypass usage limits, billing, or security measures;
- use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the service except as we expressly permit;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or access to it;
- use the service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights; or
- misuse the AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Plans, billing, and payments
- Spellforge offers a free tier along with paid options, which may include recurring subscriptions and pay-as-you-go charges. The current plans and prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Pay-as-you-go and overage charges. Some plans include a set number of deck generations ("forges") and charge a per-forge fee beyond that amount; pay-as-you-go usage is charged per forge. These charges accrue during your billing period and are billed through Stripe.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time through the plan-management option in the app. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. (If you are a consumer in certain regions, such as the EU or UK, you may have additional statutory cancellation rights.)
- Changes. We may change plans or prices. Changes apply to future billing periods, and we will give notice where required.
7. AI suggestions and card data — important
- Deck suggestions are generated by AI and may be wrong. They can be inaccurate, suboptimal, contain mistakes, or include cards that are not legal in your chosen format. Always verify suggestions yourself, including format legality and the official rules, before relying on them.
- Card data is provided by third parties (including Scryfall) and may be incomplete or out of date.
- Spellforge is a tool to assist you. You are responsible for how you use its output.
8. Intellectual property and trademarks
- Magic: The Gathering, Commander, and all related card names, game terms, symbols, and logos are trademarks and copyrights of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Spellforge is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Wizards of the Coast. We claim no ownership of Wizards of the Coast's intellectual property, and card names and game terms are referenced only to identify cards and provide compatibility.
- Card data is provided by Scryfall. Card names, card text, and any card images remain the property of Wizards of the Coast and/or the respective artists.
- The Spellforge name, application, and our own original content are owned by us. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the decks and other content you create in Spellforge. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content only as needed to provide the service to you.
10. Availability and changes to the service
Spellforge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spellforge is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or relating to your use of Spellforge. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using Spellforge and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Your continued use of Spellforge after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
